Due to the continued expansion of our business
the following positions have been created:

Trade Parts Salesperson (KILRUSH) depot
Responsible for agricultural spare parts sales to existing online and
telephone trade customers. Also responsible for developing new trade
parts business in Ireland and abroad. This is an office based role and
would suit someone with experience in parts sales but looking to move
away from the retail counter. Experience in export shipping logistics
would put the right candidate at a clear advantage. Candidates need to
be extremely conscientious with excellent IT skills.

Parts Advisor (LOUGHREA) depot
Responsible for front counter retail parts sales to walk in & telephone
customers as well as back counter sales to our own workshop. Also
responsible for in-store forest and garden machinery sales for the
Husqvarna, Kubota and Honda brands. Applicants with prior dealership
experience in front and back counter operations will have a distinct
advantage although the right candidate without experience will also be
considered. Good IT skills necessary.

Vacancies currently exist for Technical Agricultural Officers (TAO) in the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine at various locations nationwide.

Technical Agricultural Officers are employed to carry out various functions related to services and schemes operated in addition to operating controls relating to animal welfare, public health, animal health and EU payment schemes.

Some of the duties of a TAO could involve:

• Interacting with the public/customers on schemes and services; 

• Supervision and/or monitoring of activities of food business operators and a range of meat plants and ensuring compliance with all regulations; 

• Various on farm controls and business premises checks required under national and EU legislation; 

• Dealing with animal welfare, public health and animal health (including disease control) in line with legislative requirements; and 

• A range of other duties like crop evaluation, certification duties, poultry and eggs, and pesticide control.
