"Hands on" environment

For our full-time courses, teaching and learning is typically split 50:50 between classroom and outdoor practical instruction. Our practical instruction classes allow mutual interaction to develop between tutors and students in a "hands on" learning environment. In Advanced Certificate programmes we strongly encourage the development of problem solving, decision making and planning capabilities. Utilising discussion groups, visits to external farms and other facilities and external speakers are an important part of our delivery approach.

Upon successful completion of either Option A or Option B  confer  "Young Trained Farmer" status commonly referred to as the "Green Cert".

Progression is also available through the Higher Education Links Scheme. Please contact the relevant higher education institute for further information.
