First year in Agricultural College:
- Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture - course information
Entry Requirement - This course is offered on a full-time basis at colleges. Applicants for the full-time programme must be 17 years old or over on 1 January following entry to the course. This course will be of most benefit to anyone who has completed the senior cycle at second level (Leaving Certificate or equivalent).
Second year in Agricultural College:
Entry requirements - you must have successfully completed the "Level 5 Certificate in Agriculture". See First year in Agricultural College above.
Choose from one of the following options for your second year:
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agricultural - Agricultural Mechanisation - course information
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture - Dairy Herd Management - course information
- Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture - Drystock Herd Management - course information
Level 6 Graduates qualify as a "Young Trained Farmer
